Welcome back to Term 3! I hope you all had a lovely break! (",)
This week we drew some lovely pictures for Drawings by Me. The children took home their forms and pictures on Thursday. If you would like to order something, please return to me in school by Monday 20th at the latest.
This week in English, the children began Newspapers. We focused on the features of newspapers, the language and the differences between using facts and opinions. Next we will continue to look at newspapers, with an end outcome of writing our very own article!
We began our new Dinosaur topic this week. This is always a favourite topic of the children's, and I can tell they are already excited with all the fantastic facts they are bringing in to share with the class! We began the topic on Science Day as we became archaeologists on an excavation for dinosaur bones! You can see these pictures below.
Science Day ended our first week back and the children all looked fantastic! We had lots of fun as we were rock detectives, geologists, archaeologists, and fossil makers!! Have a look at our fun day in the pictures below!
Finally, congratulations to my two Pupils of the Week, Aleesha and Aryan K. Two wonderful self-managers displaying the Golden Rules perfectly all week and at all times; well done you two! Also well done to Ryan who is my Friendship Champion! Ryan always tells good tales about his peers and always finds the good in others. A lovely characteristic to have!
