This week's learning
In English this week the children have been learning more about newspapers including how to write quotes, how to collect information from different sources and planning their own newspaper report.
In Maths the children have been learning how to convert from pounds to pence and back again and how to add and subtract in different contexts including money, measure and real-life situations.
In Science the children have learnt the different characteristics of rocks - hard, soft, durable, permeable, impermeable... and went on a rock hunt around the school to find the various rocks types we have learnt about - granite, chalk, marble, clay, slate...
In topic the children have been creating dinosaur art work using different techniques including sponge painting and templates.

Next week's learning
Next week the children will be writing their own newspaper report about dinosaurs taking over Dubai! In Maths we will be learning about time and calendars. In Science we will test rocks for permeability. In topic we will learning lots more about dinosaurs!
