Wow! What a week! We've had so much going on, from Sports Day, to Music Celebration Assembly Rehearsals, a trip to Park and Shop and of course our fabulous Spring Fair! Sports Day!We all had a fun Sports Day and 3D gave their best effort and ended up with 3rd place - well done! Josh and Jasmijn were our highest scoring boy and girl - congratulations! Thanks to all the parents who came to support, despite the chill in the air! Especially thanks to the parents who took part in the race - go Gazelles! Park and Shop trip! 3D wowed me with how sensibly and safely they walked to Park and Shop and their behavior while in the shop was impeccable! The children learnt the origins of different fruits and vegetables (where they came from) and realized that some food is imported from a very long distance to make it to Dubai! Student of the week!Well done to Ibrahim for being such a superstar! You are so hard-working, especially in Maths and you are really starting to show how grown up you are now. I'm so proud of you. :) 100% Attendance!Well done to the following fantastic children for their 100% attendance so far! JPS Spring Fair!I was absolutely blown away by how amazing the Spring Fair was! I've never a school fair like it! WOW! A big thank you to the mummies who helped to organize it and everybody who came along, helped out on the obstacle course or just generally came and had fun! Unfortunately, Geordie Bird proved to be smarter than Mrs. Richardson, however Sabrina tells me it was all a fix!
The children who successfully dunked me will be receiving extra homework this week! :) Every time there is a birthday in 3D we will share a photo of the child wearing our silly singing birthday hat on our blog!
These children have previously celebrated their birthday - happy belated birthday post! Happy Birthday to Sabrina and Leen (or as I like to call them, Sableena) who are celebrating their birthdays this weekend! Happy birthday to Laith for Saturday 18th, as well as Leen! Birthday twins! Happy birthday to Aaron who celebrated his birthday on Tuesday this week! Happy birthday to Sara for her special Valentine's Day birthday on the 14th February! Check out these amazing little yoginis! They even taught their new poses to a friend! Namaste and happy half term to my amazing little yogis. Congratulations to Leen for receiving the achievement award this week! This young lady stands out every single week, I don't know how she hasn't already had it! Well done and thank you for being such a polite, kind, helpful and proactive student who gives 200% to everything she does. A little superstar. 🌟 Thank you to all the lovely parents for coming to watch our class assembly this morning. First of all I would like to welcome Katrina, a new member of our class! She has settled in very well and made lots of new friends. Well done to the members of our class for making Katrina feel so happy and welcome to be in our class. Our Certificates so far have gone to Katrina and Namisha - well done girls! The children enjoyed showing the parents the Art Festival displays throughout Year 3, 4, 5 and 6. We have been learning about the water cycle in Science and the children made their own! Can you explain in the comments below how the water cycle works? Next week in Science we are making our own water filters! Remember to bring in a 1.5 or 2 litre bottle, one per triad. In English we have been writing stories from familiar settings. In maths we have been learning column addition and grid multiplication. In our new topic, Water, the children created their own waterworks pipe system to transport water from one side of the playground to the other. They found it very challenging because they had lots of leaks! |
