Welcome back after Easter Spring Break!
This week's learning:
This week we have learnt about newspapers and newspaper report - open and closed questions, fact and opinion, layout and sources of information. In Maths we have learnt about angles (right, acute, obtuse), degrees of these angles and direction (anti-clockwise and clockwise) and turns (whole, half quarter turns). In Science we finished off our teeth topic by testing eggs (pretending to be teeth) to see how much damage different liquids do to the enamel. We also kicked off our Dinosaurs topic - wow! A busy week.
Next week's learning:
Next week the children will be learning more about newspaper and will begin to write their own reports. In Maths, the children will be learning about money and addition and subtraction word problems. In Science, they will learn more about rocks and test them for different characteristics.
Science Day!
We have had so much fun today on Science Day! We have learnt how fossils were made and become archeologists digging for bones! We visited the Maker's Fair which was inspiring and interesting. Finally, we made our own fossils! Amazing!
Mini Teachers!
Yesterday 3D visited FS2D to teach them what they know about Dinosaurs so far. It was lovely to see how kind and caring 3D are with the little ones, and they make fabulous teachers! Well done 3D!
