Science In Science, we have been looking at our water cycles. We have also been investigating how to treat dirty water. 3F made filters in groups in order to clean some dirty water. We had a competition to see who could get the cleanest water. It was tricky, but every group managed to make their water much cleaner. Have a look! Maths
In Maths this week, we have been looking at 2D shapes, symmetry, nets and 3D shapes. We had some fun testing whether our faces were symmetrical and trying to make 3D shapes from different modeling materials. Star of the Week this week was Olivia Sell. Olivia always writes imaginatively and has been trying really hard on her story writing this week. She wrote some fantastic pieces of writing, using a wide range of descriptive language. Well Done Olivia! Keep up the great work.

In Maths we will be looking at how to solve subtraction sums using the column method and how to solve multiplication sums using the grid method. I hope everyone has a lovely weekend! In Maths, we have been learning the column method for addition and solving word problems. In English, we have been writing fantastic descriptions of beautiful settings. The whole class is really expanding their vocabulary and using exciting adjectives. It is with great sadness that we say good bye to Amelia this week. Someone who has been at JPS since FS2 and who brings a smile to everyone's faces each day. Amelia has been a pleasure to teach and her positive attitude always cheers everybody up. I know she will be greatly missed by staff and students alike at JPS. We wish her all the best of luck on her new adventure in her new school. Water transport activity. The children had to transport water from one bucket to another using a range of equipment. However, they were not allowed to move their feet once they were holding the water so they had to work as a team. The team who won were the ones with the most water in the bucket at the end. Ayaan won star of the week for starting the new year off positively and working hard all week. Well Done Ayaan The Talent Show. Lots of people performed and everyone voted for their favourite act. Erin won for her solo song which she sang beautifully! Then we went to visit Santa, who have everyone a gift! 🎅 Mrs. Gokhale came back for a visit too! |
